L3Harris donates to Guide Dogs Queensland

L3Harris donates to local charity, Guide Dogs Queensland

We've donated nearly $12,000 to local, state-based charity Guide Dogs Queensland, after a year of fundraising efforts by employees.

Staff from our Brisbane office took part in a range of fundraising events and activities throughout 2019 – from raffles and garage sales to fun runs and sponsored cycles – to raise much-needed funds for the charity. All funds raised were then matched by the company.

“L3Harris strives to make a difference in the communities where we live and work,” said Sarah Earey, Managing Director, Micreo, L3Harris. “Our employees chose to support Guide Dogs Queensland to help give Queenslanders with impaired vision the chance to be independent, active members of our community.” “We hope this funding will help the charity continue to provide life-changing guide dogs for Queenslanders as well as other vital support services such as mobility training and counselling.”

L3Harris has provided advanced technology solutions to government and commercial customers across Australia and New Zealand for more than 25 years. Today, the company has facilities in major cities including Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide – and employs approximately 550 professionals who understand the unique needs and challenges of customers in the region.
