We're Australian Industry Defence Awards finalists!

After a rigorous judging process, the finalists have been named across 32 categories for this year’s Australian Defence Industry Awards. The awards is a new initiative from leading online Australia Defence news outlet, Defence Connect, recognising excellence among the industry’s top defence professionals and businesses, in categories ranging from scientists, consultants, SMEs, innovators and much, much more!

We are proud to have a number of employees shortlisted as finalists in the awards and the company has also been announced as a Finalist for the Manufacturer of the Year.

  • L3Harris Technologies – Manufacturer of the Year.
  • Sarah Earey – Female Defence Leader of the Year. Last year, we doubled the size of the Micreo business and increased personnel by almost 50%. Sarah's focused leadership has helped drive this success.
  • David Enchelmaier – Innovator of the Year. David focuses on his innovation which has delivered a step change in Defence’s test and evaluation capabilities for electronic warfare systems.
  • Thomas Hale Graduate of the Year. Thomas was shortlisted for his career progression during his time with us which has largely been comprised of the development of technical skills relating to RF engineering and theoretical and applications knowledge in the field of RF and Electronic Warfare.
  • Humberto De Araujo – Rising Star of the Year. Humberto has been shortlisted for his role in the successful 2018 Silvershield Project, a multi-million dollar project, which has placed us in a strong position with our customer and led to a follow up order for 2019, which has just commenced.
  • Andrew Collins – Engineer of the Year. The work Andrew was involved in with the development, building and testing of systems for both ultra-wideband analogue communications, as well as a wideband environment simulator for EW applications, earnt him a nomination in this category.
  • Cat Goldsmith – Marketing & Communications Professional of the Year. Cat is L3Harris' first dedicated marketing resource in Australia, helping support our growth, build brand awareness and refine our value proposition through numerous marketing and comms activities.
