Cleaner

L3 Micreo is an electronic engineering company situated at Eight Mile Plains. We are seeking an experienced, motivated and reliable cleaner to assist our Senior Cleaner. The successful candidate will work one day per week (preferably Tuesday). We are looking for someone who is flexible and can work extra time to provide backup when our Senior cleaner is on leave. Duties include, but are not limited to, cleaning:

  • Reception
  • All office areas
  • All manufacturing areas
  • All toilets and shower
  • Staff kitchen

The successful person:

Bid Manager

Your specific responsibilities would include:

  • Lead the successful development of large and small bids in collaboration with key people across the organisation
  • Drive a culture of best practice in bid preparation
  • Analyse and understand tender requirements
  • Supervise the collection of commercial, financial and technical information needed for the bid and proposal
  • Ensure that bid deliverables are to the appropriate levels of quality, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the bid plans
  • Carry out lessons learned sessions post bid submission and capture improvement actions
  • Proactively contribute and support driving the Sales strategy and continuous business improvement

Your experience with the following would be considered advantageous:

  • 5+ years’ bid experience combined with a proven track record of delivering winning opportunities, preferably in a technical engineering environment
  • Ability to read and interpret tenders and contracts
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Current security clearance is an advantage (must be willing to obtain)
  • Experience of working with Government organisations and international customers

Manufacturing Engineer

We are looking for expressions of interest from enthusiastic and experienced Manufacturing Engineers who would like to join our team in this specialised industry. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that manufacturing is carried out, and the end product is produced, in the most time-efficient and cost-effective way while still maintaining overall product quality and staff safety.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and supporting production processes and equipment
  • Bare die semiconductor handling including die placement and bonding
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-883 processes, in particular inspection of hybrid circuits
  • Implementation of Lean Manufacturing including six sigma techniques
  • Developing and delivering clear work instructions and manufacturing process planning reports
  • Optimisation of machinery and equipment use through ongoing analysis and identification of inefficiencies
  • Solving daily production issues, problems and bottlenecks
  • Review and implement improvement requests relating to product performance, component selection and test/tune methods
  • Ownership of preventative maintenance program

We have an opening for interesting and challenging work, which involves the ability to perform assembly work under a microscope, building sophisticated electronic circuitry whilst following detailed written procedures and drawings.

Role requirements include:

  • Previous experience in miniature assembly (or related activity)

Senior RF & Microwave Design Engineer

We are currently looking for an expression of interest from an enthusiastic Senior RF & Microwave Design Engineer who would like to join our team in this specialised industry.

The role:

  • Be involved in the design, development and prototyping of new RF & Microwave components and subsystems or modify existing products
  • Have ability to undertake RF line-up budget calculations in Microwave Office (MWO) VSS, modelling and simulation of RF & Microwave circuits using software packages, such as MWO and 3D tools such as Empire or CST
  • Experience with synthesis of filters in either SFILTER from GENESYS or SFILSYN and simulation in MWO AXIEM
  • Ability to document designs for customer design reviews and to enable efficient manufacture of products
  • Ability to utilise an ERP system to record the creation of part numbers and Bills of Materials
  • Experience in performing part stress analysis and making reliability predictions
  • Undertake qualification testing of new products, including environmental testing, EMI/EMC, etc.
  • Operate RF Test Equipment such as VNAs, Spectrum Analysers, Synthesizers, Power Meters and Noise Figure Measurements

We are looking for an expression of interest from an enthusiastic Analogue Engineer who would like to join our team in this specialised industry.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Program and simulate logic circuitry in VHDL using the Xilinx and Altera development platforms
  • Develop software for microprocessor based circuits in C on platforms including PIC32, Zynq and NIOS
  • Design, Analyse and Prototype new electronic power and control circuits

Experience with the following are considered advantageous:

  • Software and Firmware requirements definition
  • Software and Firmware development
  • Software and Firmware Verification and Validation
  • Generating schematic diagrams and lay out Printed Circuit Boards using Altium
  • Creating DC power budgets to track power consumption
  • Documenting designs for customer design reviews and manufacturing
  • Generating and debugging Labview software for Automated Test Equipment
  • Creating part numbers and Bills of Materials in an ERP system
  • Test equipment such as Logic Analyser and sampling oscilloscope

  • Qualifications in engineering or electronics
